In terms of defense, the most significant advancement is that of a newly developed blocker system for shots. I've always felt that blocking in the previous NBA 2K titles felt lifeless and ultimately vulnerable to the chance NBA 2K22 MT. Thanks to new animations and a smoother feeling of physicality and flow, blocks feel more precise and robust, bringing vitality to the game's incredible centres, which I'm of the opinion that they have never been effectively portrayed as a threat prior to this.
Try playing Wilt Chamberlain's Lakers or Bill Russell's Celtics and you'll get a sense of what I'm talking about. This increased sense of accuracy and real-world realism is also evident in mid-air battles, since players under the ring feel more natural when they move.

NBA 2K22's modes are largely unchanged from last year's version however that's not good thing since some of the modes were new to the next-generation NBA 2K21 versions. In addition to MyCareer, MyTeam and MyNBA modes Buy 2K MT, the W is back, with an entirely new career mode that revolves on the WNBA.
